About Us
My Sister’s Things started during a time when the world slowed down and everything felt heavy. I’m a hospice nurse, and during COVID, I needed something creative to help balance the difficult things I was experiencing every day. Polymer clay became that space for me — a place where my mind could focus on something beautiful, colorful, and completely different. What started as a creative outlet quickly became something much more meaningful.
My Sister’s Things was originally started by my mom and I as something we could build together during COVID. The name comes from a story she told her whole life. My mom was the youngest of ten girls, and all of her sisters were incredibly talented — they could sing, play instruments, draw, and create anything. My mom always joked that she couldn’t draw a stick figure, had no rhythm, and was completely tone deaf, so she would say, “God gave my sisters all the talent and gave me all the brains, so I’ll just sell my sisters’ things.” When we started our business, the name felt perfect because it kept our family story at the heart of everything we were building.
Six months after we started our business together, my mom passed away. Continuing My Sister’s Things became a way for me to keep creating, keep healing, and keep something we started together alive. Every pair of earrings I make still feels connected to her and to the idea that creativity, family, and love should always be shared.
Today, I create handmade polymer clay earrings that are lightweight, hypoallergenic, and comfortable for all-day wear. Many of my designs are floral, whimsical, feminine, and nature-inspired, with a mix of bold statement earrings and soft sentimental pieces. Most of my earrings are also available with a clip-on option, because everyone deserves to feel beautifully elevated — even without pierced ears.
I like to think of my jewelry as wearable art for your ears, designed to help women feel confident, unique, and a little more themselves when they put it on.
Delicate details. Loud confidence. Uniquely you.
Thank you for supporting my small handmade business. Every order truly means the world to me and helps keep a dream that started with my mom alive.
